being a former resident of Arkansas, I find it pretty suspect to consider it “solid democrat”.
I feel the same about South Carolina. (Those 188 House reps gotta come from somewhere.) But, you never know.
Like Alan, I’m originally from Arkansas, and I am suspect of the same.
Now I am a Floridian, and I find myself with even more questions. We have a Republican governor, a Republican cabinet (save for our CFO), one GOP Senator, a majority of U.S. House Members are Republican, and a Republican State Legislature. Obama did win Florida — but is that all it takes towards making us “lean Democratic”?
