Anyone else feel like taking a trip off-world today? George Clooney laments what have been in the Internet exclusive trailer for Solaris. Also in the trailer bin is this first look at Max, starring John Cusack as a German art dealer and Noah Taylor as his not-so-promising student, Adolf Hitler. Update: You can go ahead and add Daredevil to the mix as well…cheeseball Affleckisms and lame wire work have quashed any hopes I had for this project for the time being.

Hyde Smash!
More pics of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen have surfaced online, including Jason Flemyng with some big ole arms. (Scroll past the X2 stuff, unless you’re interested.)
Mein Gott!
If the Civil War ain’t your bag, another X2 pic of Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler bamffed into Newsweek recently. Still hard to say how this is going to look until we see him move.
Leather and Claws.
Several images from two sequels eagerly awaited by the fanboy nation come to light: Matrix: Reloaded and X2.
King of New York.
That ain’t Superfly or Marcellus Wallace. That’s Wilson Fisk, looking much more like the fearsome Kingpin than I’d ever imagined. In the still-extant case on the Daredevil movie, this goes in the thumbs’ up pile. Update: The rest of the main characters get their due.
Bamf!
AICN gets their hands on the first pic of Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler in X-Men 2. Looks a bit goofy, I suppose, but there’s no real way of telling until we see him move.
DC Down, Marvel Up.
While Superman continues to languish over at Warner Brothers, Sony gets Michael Chabon to punch up the script for The Amazing Spiderman. Since so much of Spidey’s appeal is his internal monologue, Chabon sounds like a great choice.
With Power Comes Responsibilitude!
The Amazing George W, via PlasticBag. Can we get Cheney with the J. Jonah flattop?
Doc Ock a Lock?
In the Spiderman sequel camp, word’s leaking out that Stellan Skarsgard will play Otto Octavius, (better known as Doctor Octopus.) I thought they might go Philip Seymour Hoffman, but I like this casting.
Muties Gone Wild.
Fox posts the San Diego Comicon footage of X-Men 2. Brian Cox looks good, and it was a wise move to focus on Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, but I can’t say I was completely sold by the teaser. Danger Room? Nightcrawler?
