Another classic Alan Moore property moves to the big screen as Matrix and Star Wars AD James McTeigue takes the reins of V for Vendetta. I haven’t read V in over a decade, but I remember it as being rather dark and political. Well, let’s hope it’s more From Hell than LXG. Is Miracleman next?

While I thoroughly enjoyed V for Vendetta, I have a hard time imagining it as being accessible as written. Perhaps if they move it out of England into the US, change the setting from a Thatcherian dystopia to W’s wet-dream of a police state, and indulge in some stunt-casting, then MAYBE it would work.
Not that Moore would care either way, as long as the check clears.
I think so.
