It’s the Election 2006 post-mortem y’all have been waiting for: Karl Rove discusses the results of the midterms, and while he correctly cites the war and the GOP’s considerable corruption problem, he still doesn’t seem to get the big picture. That’s right — keep on keepin’ on, Karl. I always had a hunch he wasn’t the genius everyone made him out to be.
Any take on the whole deal with Carville calling out Dean at the DNC? I don’t know — I didn’t support Dean’s candidacy for President, but *did* support him for DNC Chair and totally buy the 50 State Strategy thing. Although I’m usually in lock-step with whatever Carville says, it’s hard to argue with a Democratically controlled House *and* Senate… and yet that seems to be exactly what he’s doing.
Is this Carville just ginning up the Clinton 2008 Bandwagon? (The Clinton’s hate Dean, evidently.)

I’m with you on the 50-State-Strategy…you’ve probably pegged Carville’s intentions correctly. Also, Carville’s pretty tight with Rahm Emanuel, and Emanuel and Dean notoriously don’t get along: The two may be jockeying for the position of “The Hero of 2006.” So that could be it too.
