If I’d known we were gonna cast our feelings into words, I’d’ve memorized the Song of Solomon. After far too long a wait, Miller’s Crossing finally arrived on DVD this morning. Lebowski might be funnier, and Fargo might get all the best press, but Miller’s Crossing is still far and away my favorite Coen movie. Nothing more foolish than a man chasin’ his hat…

IMHO, it is the best movie ever made. And I’ve seen a lot of movies. And I watch them critically. I could put together a list of good movies I don’t like, bad movies I love and almost anything in between.
There is a timeless quality to this mob pic fable people’d with colorful characters and dialogue that sticks to your ribs.
I’m glad to see it’s out on DVD, the metal oxide was coming off my VHS copy from too many viewings…
