Well, it’s not official quite yet, but this agreement today probably means the New Jersey Nets are Brooklyn-bound. I’d think most of Brooklyn is Knickerbocker country, but if it means NBA games will be cheaper and easier to get to for yours truly, I’m all for it.

The Nets sport the 2nd lowest fan turn-out in the NBA, which is saying something if you’ve ever been to a Clipper game, so a move across the East River can’t possibly hurt the team’s support. The biggest problem is going to be developing the space, not maintaining a fan base.
