The Weasley twins’ nerves are shaken and brains are rattled by the Great Goblet of Fire in one of several new high-quality pics from Harry Potter IV (scroll down), including shots of Cedric Diggory, Fleur Delacour, Victor Krum, a Hungarian Horntail, and the fateful maze. Apparently, the trailer will follow this weekend.

By way of Quiddity, the BBC’s Dr. Who revival runs into trouble trying to cast actors of diminuitive stature — they’re all busy being Oompa Loompas and Gringotts goblins for Willy Wonka and Harry Potter IV respectively. Somewhere, Jack Purvis is smiling.

In Harry Potter casting, Ralph Fiennes is cast as Voldemort for Goblet of Fire. Ok, I guess…but to be honest, I expected someone older. Terence Stamp, perhaps?

Also in casting news, Miranda Richardson joins Goblet of Fire as Daily Prophet reporter Rita Skeeter. Ok…she would’ve worked well as the Big Bad for Book V too.
From Greeks to Goblet.
With Prisoner of Azkhaban right around the corner, casting continues for Mike Newell’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. And for Year 4, the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher — Mad-Eye Moody — will be Brendan Gleeson, most recently seen as Menelaus in Troy. I like it.
