Coming Soon gets its hands on another spoilerific bunch of Episode III info, including this shot at right of the battle that opens the film. Looks like eye candy, if nothing else.

Toyz in the Hood.
Damn, it feels good to be a scoundrel…By way of the slightly relocated Lots of Co., and because the world demanded it, here’s an amateur Geto Boys video (“Mind Playin’ Tricks on Me”) done with Star Wars figures. As you’d probably expect, some harsh language herein, so keep the sound down in your workplace.
Stay on Target.
Empires collide as the Dark Lord of the Sith shills for Target (with Heidi Klum). Given that Star Wars was memorialized on Burger King glasses over 25 years ago, it seems a little late to bemoan the saga’s commercialization. Still, this makes it even harder to imagine Episode III as anything but another disappointment.
Heir to the Empire.
In case you couldn’t find it for some reason last week, the Episode III trailer is now officially available. And, if you’re looking for more SW news, Lucasfilm has also released the first film image of General Grievous, a.k.a. the new and goofily named Big Bad that was supposed to be voiced by Gary Oldman.
Downfall of the Republic.
“Lord Vader…rise.” My, how delightfully apropos. The teaser for Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, which will appear in theaters before The Incredibles tomorrow, is now available for Hyperspace members, AOL users, and file-sharers (as well as on some overextended mirrors such as here.) All in all, it’s pretty well done, with a good deal of footage from the other films (particularly A New Hope), and some brief glimpses of the CGI & lightsaber carnage we’re all expecting. Update: Several more mirrors here. Update: It’s now officially available.
Spiky Wheels and Sith Lords.
In somewhat related news, a number of RotK:EE screencaps turn up online, including new and spoiler-filled looks at Voice of Saruman and the Mouth of Sauron. And, along the same lines, some official Episode III pics are released, perhaps to offset this extremely spoiler-laden review of the final installment. Update: The official official Ep. III teaser poster gets out, and, well, it’s kinda lame.
Super Heroes ‘n’ Sith.
Thankfully for SW fans, there’ll be no Meet Joe Black scenario this time around. As expected, word is the Episode III teaser will be released Nov. 5, in front of The Incredibles.
A Prowsian Presence.
The Force.Net get their hands on what looks to be the Episode III one-sheet from the same source who outlined the coming teaser. The nod to A New Hope is a deft touch.
It’s Alive!
The Force.Net obtains a teaser description for Revenge of the Sith, and it sounds like Lucas isn’t holding back on the Big Moment. Major spoilers, I guess, but you’ll be seeing this teaser in theaters next month anyway, most likely with The Incredibles.
NIN v. Ace of Base?
Bored by the pre-debate spin cycle and inspired by Lots of Co’s alt.homecoming mix, I went scouring the Internet yesterday evening for some of the mixes Max mentioned (such as “Without Vader“, a.k.a. Eminem v. John Williams) and found Bass 21, which includes a number of versus versions for perusing and/or downloading to the iPod. Enjoy. (I must admit a particularly guilty fondness for “Go Toxic,” a.k.a. Britney v. Yaz.)
